Three one-hour(ish) workshops that will cover two Beatles songs, rhythms that the Beatles used and the songs and tunings Joni Mitchell used.
$15 per workshop or $40 for all three.

  1. 9:30 - 10:30: "I Will" and "Please, Please Me"
    "I will" was the most requested song at my KMW "Songs of the 60s" class. It's a fun song that is trickier than it seems on the surface. "Please, Please Me" is a fun song and not too hard. Tho you will need a 1+ fret, Intermediate and up.

  2. 11:00 - 12:00 Rhythms beyond 4/4 (with the Beatles)
    I've taught "Rhythms Beyond 4/4" before. But this time with a twist. The Beatles---in their infinite creativity---have played most of the time signatures. And what better way to remember these rhythms than with songs you know and love. Advanced Beginner and Up.

  3. 1:30 - 2:30 The Tunes and Tunings of Joni Mitchell
    Joni Mitchell stunned the folk world by appearing at the Newport festival last summer. We'll take a look at the four dulcimer tunes on "Blue" as well as Big Yellow Taxi. Advanced Beginner and up.
